My name is Chiara (pronounced Kiara) and I’m a natural light photographer based on Vancouver Island, although I love to travel! I love my beautiful little island and am constantly inspired by it. I focus on wedding, elopement, and lifestyle/branding imagery.

I'm naturally outgoing and genuinely enjoy connecting with people. Building meaningful relationships, whether with friends or the people I work with. I aim to create a space where you feel comfortable, have fun, and don’t take yourself too seriously.

My photography style is authentic, bright, and romantic, with an editing style that focuses on enhancing but preserving true tones. I’ve always been drawn to creative work, and over the years I’ve fallen in love with telling your stories in a way that is honest and true to you. Now that you know a bit about me,

Photos that don’t only look beautiful in a frame in your living room, but bring you back to how the day felt. Your wedding gallery reads like a story book, woven together with intention, following a cohesive narrative capturing the atmosphere as much as the portraits.

Flow through your day with the trust that moments, big to small, are captured authentically. The first time your mother sees you, the exchange of vows, the quiet details and fleeting moments happening all around you. Images rooted in authenticity, not performance.

Leading up to the wedding, [Chiara] was incredible; flexible, communicative, thoughtful, and honestly just a joy to talk to. On the wedding day itself, my partner and I, who are very awkward in front of a camera, felt surprisingly at ease. Chiara created such a comfortable environment that we forgot we were being photographed at all.

About the Process

After you've browsed my work and determined my style aligns with yours, send me an email! Please be sure to include important info such as wedding date, budget, and any other important details while filling out the contact form
Whether this is in person over a coffee, or on zoom, let's get to know each other a bit and make sure we're the right fit for each other. Tell me all your questions and concerns and I'll walk you through my process.
I will send over a contract and require a retainer fee of 30% for weddings to secure your date.
Whether or not you're working with a wedding planner I like to be involved in planning the timeline of your big day to ensure there is enough time for photos and a break in between. I'm also happy to send over my go-to vendor list and assist in any way!
Ahhh, the day we've all been waiting for. It goes by way too fast, so other than taking pretty pictures my job is to allow you to enjoy the moment. We slot in "buffer times" throughout your timeline to allow for small breaks in between to relax, enjoy, and stay present.
Images are delivered fully edited and in high resolution in an online platform called Pixeset. Very user friendly, easy to download, share, create favourite lists, and print. I like to send sneak peeks as I go along and edit.
